I also have the wireless adaptors for this writer from StenoCast, the X1 and its receiver, if that's of interest to you.
This machine is in excellent condition. I have kept it as a backup machine but am rarely, if ever, using it, so I've decided to sell. I ceased using it regularly in March 2008 when I purchased my elan Mira A3. Everything is in proper working order!
I still have the original case, the manual, the paper tray, the allen wrench, two batteries that will still hold a full charge (purchased new 5/21/06), a tilt tripod and the original tripod that came with the machine, two power suppl cables, and the dust cover for the machine. I do want to disclose that this machine was originally jade in color. When I went to purchase new batteries for it, I was told by Stenograph that they were no longer selling the jade batteries because they couldn't get the jade material they needed. I didn't want to have a jade machine and black batteries, so I had Southwest Ste/Noe Services in Texas, an authorized service provider for Stenograph products, replace the shell of the machine with a Stenograph black shell to match the black batteries I was buying. If we were to make a deal, I'm happy to give you the serial number of the machine so that you can verify with Stenograph that it's authentic and an 8000 LX. This machine was last cleaned 5/21/06.
I'm asking $1500.00 for it all. Stentura 8000 LX's are selling used for $1795.00 currently at places like Acculaw and Stenotech. This is a deal, especially with the wireless adaptor, which sells for $224.95 used through Acculaw. The only thing you won't have is a one-year warranty, but you'll have saved at least $680 with sales tax.
